He Has Not Forgotten You

" Even though there are times in your life when it seems like the blessings of God or just a simple word from Him is not reaching you…"

Beloved, you may be going through something that has you feeling torn down, depressed, and maybe even feeling forgotten. But I am here to encourage you that God has not forgotten you!

Even though there are times in your life when it seems like the blessings of God or just a simple word from Him is not reaching you, seemingly leaving you alone and in the dark to deal with whatever it is that has you feeling trapped and in an endless struggle. But know that it is not always God’s intention to delay that word or that blessing, but the battle is often a spiritual one where the enemies of God are trying to stop God’s assigned messenger from reaching you as in Daniel chapter 10.

Maybe you are feeling like the woman in Luke 8:43-50 who was battling with her health for 12 long years and doing all that she knows how to do only to find herself no better and worse off financially. Perhaps you can identify with the woman in Luke 13:10-17 where outsides forces attacked her so hard for 18 years that it left her crippled and doubled over unable to stand up straight.

I could go on listing person after person who had issues in their lives that left them physically, emotionally, or even mentally traumatized or debilitated; and at times left abandoned and seemingly without any hope of their situation or issue changing. Now, perhaps you don’t fall into either of those categories but are in one that because of the things that you have done in your life; you feel like your situation cannot and will not change. Feeling like this is the punishment that you have to endure forever because God has turned away from you with the plan never to forgive you. Again I say to you beloved that this is not so.

Could it be that you fit into this final category— That is the one who may have been traumatized with something that was due to no fault of your own like the man that was born blind in John 9:1-7 whose condition was allowed so that “God’s power might be seen at work”… This one is often the hardest example or as they say, "pill to swallow." Because all of us want to be used by God as long as it does not cost us anything or cause us any pain or suffering, or we have been foolishly told that God would never do or allow something like that. I could show you many examples that say otherwise. But it is never done or allowed so that it would destroy you, but it was done or allowed to Glorify God and to edify you in some way or even so that you would be in a better position to be able to help someone else.

No matter which of these categories that you may fall into, God wants you to know just like these that I have mentioned, that when they least expected it or were no longer looking for it or were without understanding as to why they were in the position that they found themselves. He will bring just what you need to heal, deliver, or give you the strength to continue to stand until His ultimate purpose is revealed. Why does He do this? Because He has not forgotten you!!!
