“Fulfilling Vision”

"Some may ask, “How do I find out what my purpose is?” This is not as hard or complicated or even as super spiritual as you may think. It is most often found in the passion that is in your heart."

ree

You may have had a continuing vision of a task for some purpose that even after storing it away for a time, it never leaves you. A prompting, a persistent poking that lets you know that you still have something to do continues to pull at you. This purpose may be big or it may be small. It may be seen by the public at large or hidden behind the scenes. It really does not matter in which way that it is but what matters is how you handle and fulfill it.

Some may ask, “How do I find out what my purpose is?” This is not as hard or complicated or even as super spiritual as you may think. It is most often found in the passion that is in your heart. This passion is the foundation of which all that you are supposed to do is built. Often, we can miss it due to any number of factors. A parent who wrongly guided a child away from that passion, because “they” don’t think that it is worthwhile.

And yes, even a church leader who mistakenly tells you that it may not be “Godly service” based not on the word of God but their own perceptions and ideas. Sometimes the hindrance to it is no one or nothing else other than you. Your possible fears and apprehensions. Maybe even thinking too little of those simple things that make up who you are. You don't consider something that was said in Proverbs 18:16 as applying to you which says, "A person's gift clears his way and gives him access to the great." Another cause can also be those things, thoughts, actions and choices that will put you on the side of disobedience to God and can hinder or even cause you to miss finding that purpose or even forfeit it all together—

YHWH has always promised and has proven to be trust worthy in that He will always do His part. We have to make sure that we are doing ours. So, after you have found or should we say realized what your true passion is your next step is to perfect it through daily practice. This “practice” may not always be you sitting down and rehearsing it, even though it may play a part. It could include participating in some type of formal study. But I have found that your most valuable practice\training ground will involve what you do in your daily living. From the job that you work, to the things that you volunteer for, to even those occasions that you were not planning on but come up.

Just think back to conversations that you found yourself having that you may have not even initiated. Or how certain opportunities and people that keep coming into your life that in some way seem to line up with that passion or allow you to operate in it. I can truly say if that one thing keeps popping up in your life that you are suppose to be doing then just maybe you need to strongly consider and ask the question, “Lord, guide me in what to do with this?”

Now— with all of that said the next logical question is how to “handle” this vision\purpose. The answer is this. ONE DAY AT A TIME with obedience to God. Yes it is really that simple. You see each day has its own set of duties and obligations. Some are no-brainers in following and doing what needs to be done and others you have to seek and listen for the wisdom and guidance of God. Yes God does grant us the ability to and even expects us to make choices and decisions. So focus on today.

Mat 6:34 Don't worry about tomorrow — tomorrow will worry about itself! Today has enough tsuris (aggravating trouble) already! {CJB}

This does not mean that you cannot make plans but while you are making those plans they should be filtered through the guidance of YHWH for it is only He who knows what tomorrow and the future holds. Now for those who think that this means that you sit around waiting for the LORD to part the waters for the direction that you need to go. Read His words spoken to Moses in Exodus 14:15, 16.

Exo 14:15 Adonai asked Moshe, "Why are you crying to me? Tell the people of Isra'el to go forward!

Exo 14:16 Lift your staff, reach out with your hand over the sea, and divide it in two. The people of Isra'el will advance into the sea on dry ground. {CJB}

Lifting up the staff was his connection to God. Reaching out his hand was his putting into action what God had already given him. Just in case you didn't catch it. It was not the YHWH that parted the waters— It was Moses. YHWH made the ground dry and solid for them to walk on.

When YHWH spoke to Israel in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 He told them how he would blessed them but there was a choice, a decision that had to be made. If they chose to accept Him and what He has commanded to be done that everything that they did would be blessed and prosperous.

This is a daily choice and decision that has to be made. For those that may attempt to say that this was only for Israel and does not apply to us New Testament Christians. I say to you that one; you do not understand the “spirit” of what is being said in the scripture and you are just reading the letter. Secondly read the words of Jesus in John 14.

Joh 14:15 "If you love me, you will keep my commands; {CJB}

Joh 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me, and the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him." {CJB}

Joh 14:23 Yeshua answered him, "If someone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Joh 14:24 Someone who doesn't love me doesn't keep my words — and the word you are hearing is not my own but that of the Father who sent me. {CJB}

Please also understand that this does not mean that there will not be trouble and or obstacles along the way but His promise is that the end result is that those troubles or obstacles will not succeed in stopping the vision and purpose that God has placed and spoken to you.

Now like Moses, take what is in your hand and lift it up. In other words, put what you have into action and go forward.
